Hello again. Some days you feel strong. Others not so much. Maybe today's one of those days you've tried to do the right thing, but it hasn't worked out somehow. You've tried to fight the same battle over and over again, but the stronghold still stands. David knew what that felt like. He was bold. He was gifted. And he was deeply loved by God. But he was also deeply flawed. He gave in to lust. He led his pride to take the reins. He failed to act justly when justice mattered the most. If you or I had made the message that David did, we might just expect God to walk away. But is grace. God stayed. Not because David was perfect. Not because he never fell from grace, but because he knew how to get up. He knew how to fall to his knees. David humbled himself. He confessed his sin, and he trusted God to do what he couldn't. That's where the power is. And David became more and more powerful because the Lord God of heaven's armies was with him. Second Samuel chapter five, verse ten. You and I will never be strong enough to conquer sin on our own. We will never build a fortress sturdy enough to keep out our temptation, our pride, our lust, our greed or our fear. Our strength eventually runs out. Our plans fall apart. Our willpower fades, but God doesn't. David became more and more powerful because the Lord God of Heaven's armies was with him, not because he deserved it, but because he turned his face towards God again and again. When we're ready to stop pretending that we've got it all together, when we're willing to admit that we're not enough. That's when God moves. That's when strongholds crumble. That's when his power becomes ours. So what are you up against today? What's keeping you stuck? What feels too big to change? You don't have to face it alone. You don't have to fix it by yourself. God has already done the heavy lifting in Jesus. He's already broken the back of every stronghold. What he asks of you is not strength, but surrender. Not to hide your weakness, but to bring it into the light. So name it. Bring it to him and then ask for his strength. Because when you do. And when you're weak, that's where his strength begins. As we come to the end of our series this week, think about this. Where do I need to stop striving and start leaning on God's strength today? Let's pray together for the final time this week. Lord, I confess I am not strong enough to win this fight on my own. You know my struggles. You know my pride. You know my sin. You know my fears. But you also promise your strength in my weakness. So help me to stop striving and to start trusting. Give me the courage to humble myself. To seek your face and to walk forwards in your power. Thank you that you stay with me even when I fall. Amen. Thanks for joining me today and may God bless you.
