Hi and welcome to the Battle Drill Daily Devotional. I'm Rob Westwood-Payne, and I'm here to help you start your day spiritually strong with a quick, powerful devotional from God's Word. Don't forget to visit battledrilldevotional.com for more daily devotionals and resources. Now let's jump in. Hello and welcome back. Are you longing for a fresh start? It's a question that many of us carry around with us. You try to move forward, but the same patterns keep pulling you back. You promise yourself this time it will be different. Yet somehow you end up in the same place again, stuck, tired, and wondering if change is even possible. The truth is, all of us long for a fresh start. We want the chance to wipe the slate clean. We want a new beginning. And here's the good news. You don't have to create that fresh start on your own. The Bible says that it comes through Jesus. The Apostle Paul writes these words. Everything that we have, right thinking and right living a clean slate and a fresh start comes from God by way of Jesus Christ. First Corinthians chapter one, verse 30. Now, that's not just nice language. It's a promise. A fresh start isn't a distant dream. It's a gift. And it's available to you today. It doesn't depend on your effort. It doesn't depend on willpower. It comes from God through Jesus Christ. When you look at the life of Jesus, you see what that fresh start means. He gave sight to the blind. He gave hope to the hopeless. He even raise the dead. And he's still doing the same today in the Salvation Army. I've watched people enslaved by addiction walk into freedom. I've seen broken relationships find healing. I've seen people worn out by life. Lifted up with new strength. All those stories are possible because Jesus makes a fresh start. Real. But here's something important. A fresh start isn't just waiting around for life to change on its own. It begins when you turn to Jesus and ask, what steps should I take next? And then you take it. Faith is always practical. It means moving forward, even if it's just one small step at a time. I can tell you, in my own life there have been seasons when I felt stuck, convinced that things would never change. But the moment that I stopped trying to fix it all for myself and turned to Jesus instead, things began to shift. Not always in big dramatic ways. Sometimes it was simply the courage to take that one small step, to make one call, to forgive one person, to try again the next day. Each step became part of God's gift of a fresh start. So let me ask you, where do you need a fresh start today? Is it in a relationship? Is it in your work or study? Is it deep inside your heart, in a place that only you and God know about wherever it is? Jesus is ready to meet you there. He doesn't shame you. He doesn't turn you away. He offers forgiveness. He offers strength and he offers wisdom. He offers himself. So don't stay stuck. Don't carry the weight alone. Jesus is offering you a clean slate and a new beginning. Just ask him. Trust him. Take the step that he shows you. Because in him, a fresh start is always possible. Today's thought starter is this. Where in your life do you need a fresh start? And what is one step of faith that you can take with Jesus today? Let's pray. Lord, I need a fresh start. I'm tired of being stuck. Thank you that in Jesus I can find a clean slate and a new beginning. Show me the next step and give me the courage to take it in your name. Amen. See you again tomorrow.
