Do you ever find yourself exhausted before the day even begins? Not just tired. I'm talking about heavy, shoulder sagging weariness that comes from trying to keep every plate spinning, every relationship smooth, every outcome under your control. I've been there, and if I'm honest, I still visit that place more often than I'd like to admit. Hi and welcome to Battle Drill Daily Devotional. I'm Rob, Voice of Pain, and I'm here to help you start your day spiritually strong with a quick, powerful devotional from God's Word. We live in a culture that quietly whispers to us, if you just try hard enough, you can manage everything. So we map out our calendars. We replay conversations in our heads. We draft backup plans for our backup plans. White knuckling life like it's all up to us. And yet, the National Institute of Mental Health tells us that anxiety disorders now affect 40 million adults a year, up 25% since 2020. Control, it turns out, is a full time job that refuses to pay even the minimum wage. So here's the liberating twist. The quickest route to real peace is admitting the one sentence your pride hates to say out loud. God is God, and I am not. Simple, yes. Easy. Not so much. Deuteronomy chapter ten, verse 17, in the message translation puts it like a rock dropping into Stillwater. God, your God is the God of all gods, the master of all masters, a God immense and powerful and awesome. Did you notice that? Not pretty strong. Not kind of big. Immense. He is the CEO of reality. And I'm not even middle management. Jesus said the meek will inherit the earth. Meekness isn't weakness. It's strength that's handed the reins over to God. Moses, described as the meek man on earth, led a nation through a sea onto dry ground. His secret? He knew who he was and more importantly, who he wasn't. So how do we hands the wheel back without driving off the cliff? Here are three small habits. Number one, name the fear out loud. God, I'm terrified that I'm going to be overlooked for promotion. Number two, add the sentence. And that's not mine to carry. And then number three, replace it with one true thing about God. You are immense and powerful and awesome. Say it until your heart right finally believes it. You see, when we stop playing God, we start feeling human again. Sleep comes quicker. Friendships deepen. Creativity returns as tell. It will. Dallas will out right. The make do not undertake to run the world. They're too busy enjoying it. Now, if this message resonates with you, hit like so that someone else can exhale too. And in the comments, write the one thing that you're releasing today. Put it in writing and let the internet witness your surrender. And if you'd like more short, honest devotionals like this one. Tap subscribe. And that bell tonight. When all is silent and tomorrow's worries start their parade. Try whispering the seven word peace treaty. God is God and I am not. Say it once. Say it twice. Say it until your soul agrees with you. I promise you, you'll wake up later. And the universe will keep right on spinning without your help. Let's pray. Father, thank you that you hold the world and us in your capable hands. Teach us to release what was never ours to carry, and to rest in the truth. That you are God and we are not. In Jesus name, Amen. Thanks so much for watching Battle Royale Daily Devotional. If you found today's message helpful, please like, share and subscribe so we can keep bringing daily encouragement to more people.
