When You're Tired of Keeping Promises Nobody Notices

There's a particular tiredness that comes from keeping a promise nobody claps for.
The same packed lunch. The same phone call. The same building on a Sunday. And the quiet question underneath it all: does any of this actually count?
Today we sit with Ruth - a widow with no money and no standing, whose great achievement was simply that she stayed. We often stop at her famous speech on the road, but the story doesn't. What follows is months of gleaning under a hot sun for enough grain to last a day. And at the end, heaven's verdict on all that ordinary faithfulness is startling: better to you than seven sons. In a world where seven sons was the picture of a blessed life, one loyal woman showing up day after day outweighed the lot.
Two things to hold onto: God counts the days nobody else notices, and faithfulness is measured in seasons, not moments.
