What happens when you achieve something good — but still feel as though you have something to prove?
Your achievements may describe part of your story. They cannot tell you what you are worth.

In Jeremiah 9:23–24, God warns us not to build our identity on wisdom, strength, wealth or success. Those things can be gifts, but they were never meant to carry the weight of our worth.

In today's 5-minute Christian devotional, we explore how to work hard, receive encouragement and use our gifts without depending on achievement to tell us that we matter. You are already known, seen and loved by God.

One small step for today: Do one good thing without needing anyone to notice. Let it remind you that you do not have to earn your value.

Subscribe for a new 5-minute daily devotional each day as we explore practical Christian faith for ordinary life.
